Invite codes

New accounts can only be created with an invite code. As a user, you can receive invite codes to invite your friends.

When do I get invite codes?

Your provider decides per domain whether invitations are possible, how many invite codes each user gets and how long the waiting period is. By default, users get 3 invite codes 7 days after registration.

You get your invite codes when

• invitations are enabled for your domain,
• your account is older than the waiting period, and
• you have signed in at least once.

Open Invite codes in the navigation to see them. If you still have to wait, the page shows the date when you get your codes. The number is a total – used codes are not replaced.

If the menu entry is missing, invitations are disabled for your domain or your account is not allowed to invite others.

Invite a friend

Click Copy to clipboard next to an unused code. This copies a complete registration link like https://users.example.org/register/aB3xY9. Send it to your friend. They can open it and create an account.

Each code can be used once. Used codes show the date they were redeemed.

Invite people you trust

You are responsible for the people you invite. If accounts are misused for spam, your provider may also block the invite codes of the person who invited them.
